Editorial policy
Stellar World Dispatch aims to explain space accurately and in language readers can follow. We check factual claims against suitable reference material, make uncertainty visible and correct errors when they come to our attention.
Accuracy and clarity
We check names, definitions, dates and descriptions before publication, and take particular care with claims that can change as knowledge develops. We explain the difference between observation, interpretation and speculation. If a point is uncertain or simplified for a general reader, the wording should make that clear. Our articles are for general interest, not professional scientific instruction.
Independence and interests
Editorial choices are made for relevance to readers and the subject, not to secure favourable coverage. Contributors and editors should disclose interests that could reasonably affect how a topic is presented. A partnership does not determine our conclusions or guarantee coverage.
Corrections
Readers can use the Contact page to flag a possible error, with the relevant passage and any helpful explanation. We review correction requests, check the point and update articles when a correction is warranted. Significant changes should be identified clearly so readers can understand what was revised.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, provided or otherwise partner-supported material is labelled clearly where it appears and kept distinct from independent editorial work. Accepting a placement does not imply editorial endorsement. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when that is the case, the image or its accompanying caption will say so. Illustrations are not evidence of a real astronomical observation.
Curiosity gives the universe its scale
Big questions become easier to explore when we take them one idea at a time. We aim to make space feel legible without making it feel small.
